Watch out - danger!

Watch out - danger!

We marmots have to take good care of each other. We don't have claws or sharp teeth to defend ourselves with. When danger is near, we warn each other with loud whistles: several short whistles mean that something is wrong on the ground. A single, shrill whistle usually means: Watch out, an eagle is flying overhead! Then we dash back to our burrow as quickly as possible. Thankfully, every marmot knows the fastest way there.
